On Wednesday, March 15th, “The Senses of Flamenco Music” took place, a captivating music workshop that delved into the rich tradition of flamenco. Organized by El Conuco, the Latinx and Ibero-American Center at the State University of New York, Old Westbury, and the Barco de Papel Cultural Center, the event was presented by Spanish ethnomusicologist Pedro Lópeh. During the lecture, Lópeh explored the roots and evolution of flamenco, as well as its cultural impact, offering an enriching experience that connected attendees with the essence and nuances of this musical genre.
