Triangle of Three Legs and a Hypotenuse, The Neoberracos

The Barco de Papel Cultural Center presented Triangle of Three Legs and a Hypotenuse, a poetry event aimed at preserving our language, promoting poetry as a crucial method of knowledge and human fulfillment, and, at the same time, reclaiming poetry readers within our local community and the general public. The reading took place on May 21, 2022.

For this poetic reading, Triangle of Three Legs and a Hypotenuse, we invited a generation of writers and poets with deep cultural ties to our city: Noel Jardines, León Félix Batista, Jesús Blas Comas, and Gabriel Jaime Caro (Gajaka). Through their poetry, they allowed us to evoke those texts that resist and exist in the rear guard of poetic marginality, positioning themselves beyond the movements of post-avant-garde literature, creating spaces for inquiry and discussion.
